Winston Churchill
The Germans continued pushing forward
through everything in their path. With Hitler in charge of the Nazi
regime, all hope seemed to be lost. Then one of Britain’s finest,
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, rose up, and gave his famous
‘Finest Hour’ speech. The bombardment of the British allies and the
neighboring countries had taken its toll on the British forces;
Churchill found himself in a difficult situation. He quickly decided
that he had seen enough damage, and it was time to act. They say
that one battle can change the out-come of a war, and that battle
will be the one read in history books. In his ‘Finest Hour’ speech
Churchill said, “History is Written by the Victors,” and that is
exactly what he did. |
