Frederick Douglass
In 1841 a determined 23 year old advocate stood at the podium. He
trembled nervously. Before him were numerous abolitionists.
Frederick Douglass defeated his fear. He then gave the eager crowd
the most motivating, eloquent speech of his life. Frederick Douglass
professed the evil of slavery and the goal of racial equality. On
that day Frederick Douglass inspired the prominent abolitionist
leaders.
Ultimately, Frederick Douglass created a life of honor, respect and
success. He fought for the rights of the oppressed.
